Curtain-Making and Blind-Making Services

Over the last twenty nine years since the establishment of Victoria Fabrics, proprietor Elizabeth Shirley and her team have established an enviable reputation for the quality and proficiency of their made-to-measure curtain and blind-making services.

Elizabeth and her ladies, Betty and Elsie have many years of sewing knowledge and experience and are happy to help you with your ideas for your projects. We always try to offer a friendly, welcoming service -- the kind of rewarding experience which you can only get from a small independent retailer.

Made to Measure

Victoria Fabrics offers a full curtain making service. We make all types of curtains, Roman blinds, scatter cushions and window seat cushions. Take a look at the gallery of some of our most recent projects which as you can see represent a wide variety of styles.

Curtains can be lined, unlined or interlined. Headings can vary according to your requirements. We can offer taped headings (such as pencil pleat for example), pinch pleats, solar rings or tab tops. We can also create hand pleated headings -- ie double or triple pinch pleats.

We also undertake contract work and have recently refurbished some of the bedrooms in a local country Manor Hotel.

The whole service is entirely bespoke -- the ideas and impetus come from our customers, and we help them to bring them into being. Elizabeth will be able to discuss your requirements with you, and will be happy to advise you accordingly.

Cut your Curtains according to your Cloth!

In addition to the huge range of fabrics which are available (in stock and to order) we will happily make your curtains from any fabric which you may already have -- perhaps to match existing furnishings, or just some treasured fabric which you have been holding on to for a rainy day! We do, however, ask that you should have our linings and tapes etc for the sake of consistency of quality and finish.

If it's adjustments or modifications you need, or even remedial curtain care, we are happy to provide an alteration service for your existing curtains and blinds. And if you'd rather do the work yourself (either making or adapting) you can also purchase linings and tapes from us -- we'll be pleased to advise you about what you will need.

Your ideas made real!
